Instructor

Welcome to Poppy Pottery! Led by Amber Noyer, a dedicated ceramic artist and UC Berkeley graduate, we specialize in teaching and crafting whimsical and intricate handmade pottery.  With over 15 years of experience as a technician and instructor in Bay Area studios, including teaching ceramics for De Anza High School and enrichment for Walnut Creek Civic Arts, Amber infuses her expertise into every lesson.

Amber's love of ceramics began with her first college class in 2009 where she was drawn toards the versatility of clay as a medium. With ceramics, you can draw, paint, and printmake and there is always something new to discover. Amber's work is inspired by nature, animals, whimsy, and intricate designs combined with functionality.

She looks forward to sharing this beautiful medium with new people, children (ages 5+) and adults alike, of all skill levels.

About

Welcome to Poppy Pottery!

Poppy Pottery is a quaint, private ceramics studio located in El Sobrante, California. It is home to several dogs, and pygmy goats. Poppy Pottery produces wares for sale and teaches small classes for children and adults of various skill levels in a peaceful and low-key environment.

All Poppy classes include firing service, a variety of glaze materials, and clay needed to create pieces during the session. Firing takes up to 6 weeks to complete and finished work can be arranged for pick-up. If you are out of town and doing an "experience", you may pay shipping to have your work sent to you once fired.

Those attending open studio must purchase clay from the studio or supply store.
